Why Not?

Why not be grossed out by a 41 year old teacher dating his 18 year old student?

They're not only dating. She's moved in with him. And he quit his teaching job, left his wife, and his 3 kids. One of those kids is his 17 year old daughter who attended the same school as her father's young girlfriend. That girlfriend is now completing her high school education with "independent study." Whatever that means.

Ex-teacher and creep of the year candidate James Hooker insists that his relationship with ex-student and current home-wrecker Jordan Powers didn't start until she turned 18 last September. He says things changed when she turned 18, and before that she was "just a student." Right. I believe that. I'm sure he felt no physical attraction when she was 17 years and 364 days old. Then everything changed the next day in class. Then they had sex and he blew his load on her birth certificate.

Jordan's irate mother is trying to prove that they started a relationship before she was 18. Good for her, but I'd be doing more to destroy this guy. The story made no mention of a father, so that means it's up to the mother to buy a revolver and shoot this scumbag 6 times. A bullet in the back of the head, two for his eyes, two for his testicles, and one for his little teacher's aid. Not necessarily in that order.

The teacher is being called a pervert, and rightfully so, but the daughter deserves some scorn as well. This isn't a handsome, worldly type of teacher that high school girls typically crush on. This is a very middle-aged looking man with a creeper's smile and teacher's glasses. He probably drives a Volvo, cheats on the New York Times crossword puzzle, and drinks Michelob.

So this 18 year old girl isn't a victim that's fallen under some seductive spell. She's a tramp. And an idiot. She says that Mr. Hooker is "more than just a lover." The two plan on building a future together.

Good luck, Jordan. Men who leave their jobs/wives/children are renowned for their ability to commit to a long-term, future building relationship.
