New York Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire is out "indefinitely" after an MRI revealed a bulging disk in his lower back, the team announced.
The Knicks have been a mess this whole season and since Mike Woodson has taken hold of the team they have been playing better. They are actually 6-1 since he took over from Mike D'Antoni and is a game out of .500. But losing Amare is a big deal. He is a big part of that offense and if he's done for a couple weeks the Knicks could miss out on the playoffs. If you remember, he had this issue last year in the playoffs against the Celtics and the C's obviously swept them.
It will be interesting to see how this whole Knicks situation gets handled and whether they can come together. Because with this injury Woodsons, rotation will not be set in stone, until the playoffs.
