The Bruins seem to be back on track. Funny thing is it seems to coincide with Joe Corvo being benched. Corvo has been a healthy scratch the last 6 games and the Bruins are 5-1 during those games. Pretty good for a team that hadn't really put a winning streak together is about two months.
The problem tonight? HE'S BACK....
Dennis Seidenberg was the only Bruin missing from morning skate, and he'll miss his first game of the season tonight. Taking his place is the always lovable Joe Corvo. Now maybe this time off will help Corvo refound his game. He was a good player before he came here, so maybe this will be the turning of the tide.
I'm not holding my breathe.
I was just joking about him being the reason the Bruins have been winning lately. Yes, the defense is better, but so is the offense and goaltending. The whole team has woken up, and just in time.
This will be a great test for them tonight. The Capitals are 2-1 against them this year, plus they are fighting for their playoff lives right now as they are 2 points behind Buffalo for the last playoff spot in the East. Thomas is 4-1-0 with a 1.58 goals-against average and a shutout in his last five games after going 0-3-0 with a 5.73 GAA in his previous four. I think that will be the key tonight though and the Bruins win.
Bruins win 4-2
