Jermaine O'Neal Was A Huge Success

Dennis Green would say, "Jermaine O'Neal is who we thought he was"

I wanted to have faith in Jermaine and when I saw he didn't have much in the tank, I wanted to like him because of his enforcer roll. However, he's gone for the season with wrist surgery.

Jermaine has been a huge disappointment since signing the 2 year deal worth 12 million dollars. He has hardly played and when he has played, other than a couple of times has looked awful. Jermaine can't play anymore and this was a real bad signing by Danny.

The only reason why this is significant is due to him being a Center. We need bodies at this position and we don't have them. KG is playing out of place and Greg Steimsma has been doing a serviceable job, but with Chris Wilcox and Jermaine gone our front court is incredibly thin.

There are rumors about JJ Hickson and Ronnie Turiaf and I would prefer Hickson over Turiaf, but neither is a big game changing player. My hope is Reggie Evans get bought out as he is a rebounding machine.

Who knows, the Celtics just need bodies.
