Calvin Johnson Gets 7 years, $132 million

"Johnson and the Lions are scheduled to announce a long-term contract extension this afternoon, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that it’s a seven-year deal worth $132 million, with $60 million guaranteed. That makes it the biggest contract in NFL history, surpassing Larry Fitzgerald’s contract with the Cardinals (NBC)."

This actually lowers his cap hit this year, which was going to be over $20 million. Usually I would go on a rant on how a WR isn't worth this, but you know what? Calvin does. He is stil just 26 years old and is coming off a year he caught 96 passes for 1,681 yards and 16 touchdowns, and put up one of the great playoff performances ever against the Saints. He doesn't get in trouble, and the dude is a beast. Congrats Calvin, you deserve it.
