Austin Rivers To Enter NBA Draft

If this report is true, then DP was right and I was wrong. I really thought River would come back since right now he isn't projected to be in the top 20 picks. I think his stock will rise, but he won't be a top 10 pick in this draft, and I thought he would go back and try again next year.

Rivers, the son of Celtics coach Doc Rivers, averaged 15.5 points and 2.1 assists for the Blue Devils this season to earn first-team All-ACC honors, the first freshman to do so since since Tyler Hansbrough in 2006. Still, DP says he doesn't fit the Duke system, and that's why he could take off to the NBA.

The crazy thing is the Celtics could have a great shot at getting him. Maybe that's another reason, probably not, but it's fun to think about. Another crazy thing to think about is that the Clippers might miss the playoffs, and the Celtics will have their pick, which would give them a lottery pick on top of their own.
