Sorry we haven't talked college hoops, we literally have been drunk every time it's on. But last night had a couple good games. Let's start with the Cuse games;
Syracuse had a 64, 63 win over Wisconsin and boy can those white boys shoot. First let me start off by saying, I hate, HATE, HATE the way the Big 10 plays basketball. Watching Wisconsin made me want to sleep, basically, they pass it around for about 33 seconds of the 35 second shot clock and they shoot it. And that matched up with a Syracuse 2/3 match up zone was just awful. I have to give it to Wisconsin on a lot of those last second shot clock shots they went in as they shot 14/27 beyond the arc including one point where they hit 7 in a row. Syracuse played a real tough game and had a lot of big shots from Scoop Jardine CJ Fair and Dion Waiters. This game was tough for them, but lets see how they do against Ohio State when they have to face a "big man" like Jared Sullinger because Rakeem Christmas and Baye Keita look lost out there.
57 Louisville, 44 Michigan State
Again another big 10 offense at it's finest, here, looking to win games scoring only 44 points in a game. You have to give it to Tom Izzo though he took a team that was ranked just out of the top 25 and got them to be a number 1 seed. Tonight wasn't their night though, they had 15 turnovers, bad offensive shot selection, and the Cardinals had one huge advantage and that was Gorgui Dieng who had 9 blocks. Both these teams have unbelievable defenses (2 top ranked matter of fact), but Michigan State really couldn't get going. When you shoot 28% from the field and you have your best player Draymond Green go 1-7 from beyond the arc, you will lose games. Also, if Draymond gets drafted in the 1st round, it will be a sad day for the NBA, nobody wants a shittier Dejuan Blair. Either way, Michigan State is the 1st 1 seed knocked out.
81 Ohio State, 66 Cincinnati
The Bearcats magic run is over and Ohio State swallowed them whole.
68 Florida, 58 Marquette
Florida is playing unreal basketball at the right time. They are a tough team led by Bradley Beal who dropped 21 points last night. Marquette is a tough team, but Florida was able to just beat them playing their game.
