Sabres @ Bruins Preview

The Bruins will definitley be in the playoffs, as of today the Sabres are on the outside looking in, but man are they making things interesting. The Sabres have moved within two points of Winnipeg for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference behind a 12-4-3 stretch. That's a crazy turnaround for a team that had been playing so poorly.

That maybe shouldn't shock us as Buffalo did a similar thing last year finishing on a 16-4-4 to earn a playoff spot. How do they do it? Well a lot of it has to do with the play of Ryan Miller who has a 1.65 goals-against average and two shutouts during his 7-1-1 run. He has also won six of his last seven meetings with the Bruins, so tonight is going to be a tough game.

The Bruins meanwhile are looking to win back-to-back games for the first time since January 12th. Tyler Seguin has four goals and two assists in the past four games, which is a good sign for the Bruins has he has been terribly cold during this streak of poor play for the Bruins.

Sorry, I wasn't impressed how the Bruins beat the Maple Leafs, and this team is just red hot right now. With Paille, Peverley, Horton, and Ference out I don't see the Bruins being able to pull this one off.

Sabres win 3-1
Player of the Game: Ryan Miller
Game starts at 7pm
