Goaltender Marty Turco cleared waivers yesterday and has joined the Bruins. There was a lot of worry that other teams (Ottawa/Tampa Bay) would swoop in and put in a claim, but that did not happen and now he is officially on the Bruins.
I really like this move. Turco is a good goalie, and will fill the void left by Rask. It is really obvious if you watch the Bruins lately that Thomas needs some time off, so I would like the see the Bruins throw Turco in about 1/2 the remaining games. Turco was signed to late to be on the postseason roster, but that isn't a problem as we all know Thomas will be playing every game, so unless he gets hurt that isn't really an issue.
