Celtics "Close" To Trading For Beasley?

The latest rumor has the Lakers and Celtics looking at Beasley, while the Timberwolves shop him "hard" around the league...

"The scuttlebutt before Tuesday’s game was that the Celtics might be looking to make a deal that involves sending veteran center Jermaine O’Neal to Minnesota and landing young forward Michael Beasley in return (Sam Amico - Fox Sports Ohio)."

I could definitely see that. But I think he'll end up with the (gasp) Celtics. Sounds like that deal is close (Sam Amico - Fox Sports Ohio)."

If this deal is for Jermaine O'Neal then you do it. I can't see why you wouldn't. Beasley has a player option for next year, so unless he is hanging it over the Timberwolves head that he is going to pick it up, and the Wolves really want him off the team is the only way this makes sense. My guess is they would also want a pick.

Jermaine is a douche, and I am sick of having to read about whether or not he is going to play every night. Beasley has been a headache, but hopefully with a new team that has KG and Doc they can get him in a good place.

If this is true at all then Danny should do it.

Want my new dream? The Celtics do that deal, then trade Pierce to Atlanta for Josh Smith. New lineup...

Rondo
Allen
Beasley
Smith
KG

With Bass moving back to the bench. Pretty damn good team. Will it happen? No, but man that would be a sexy team that could run, and maybe fit more into what Rondo likes to do. Also, Dwight Howard is best friends with Josh Smith, so maybe the Celtics make another move and trade Rondo to the Nets for Darren Williams giving maybe Howard's chance at his own "Big 3" with Smith, Howard, and Williams. You add that with Beasley that's a pretty awesome start.

I know what you're thinking, because it's the same thing I'm thinking. How do you get the Timberwovles to agree to this? How about this, a 3 team trade...

Hawks get: Pierce and Beasley
Celtics get: Josh Smith and Marvin Williams
Timberwolves get: Jermaine O'Neal and a first round pick

I did it on NBA trade machine and it works.

Ok, so then you trade Rondo for Willaims (maybe the Celtics add in their other 1st round pick), and in the offseason they get Howard, they bring back Allen on a low contract, because he wants to stay around here. You're 2012-2013 lineup...

D. Williams
Allen
M. Williams
Smith
Howard

For it to work D. Williams, and Howard would have to accept deals for around $16 million each, which is what Lebron/Wade/Bosh make. Kind of what you have to do if you want a Big 3.

That adds up to CHAMPIONSHIPS. See this whole GM thing isn't so hard...
