A medical examination today revealed inflammation in the left wrist of Carl Crawford, which increases the likelihood that he will not be ready for Opening Day.
Crawford will be shut down from hitting and throwing for the next five to seven days in order to allow the inflammation and discomfort to subside. Herald
This isn't a huge shock figuring Crawford said that his wrist hurt a little bit after the weekend. We all just have to hope this isn't a major or recurring setback. I have a good feeling about Crawford this year, and so far this spring has been a pretty positive vibe. I like what Bobby V is doing with the batting order, I like that Beckett and others are uncomfortable and I think this year can be a real bounce back year. Let's just hope Crawford will be alright.
