Boston Celtics vs Portland Trailblazers

Depth Chart

Portland (PPG)
Boston (PPG)
PG J. Crawford 14.3R. Rondo 13.8
SG N. Batum 14.2R. Allen 14.5
SF G. Wallace 13.7P. Pierce 18.3
PF L. Aldridge 21.6B. Bass 12
C M. Camby 3.9K. Garnett 14.9

The Celtics have won 5 of their last 6 and their last game out they go blown out by Philly in a back to back game. Tonight they go against the Portland Trailblazers who have been somewhat of a disappointment this season. They have had some tough breaks this season with Brandon Roy having to retire and Greg Oden's knee falling off but they should still be better than their record suggests.

Boston tries for a 12th win in 13 meetings with road-weary Portland, which seeks just its third win in 11 games away from home Friday night.

This will be a tough game for the Celtics, but the Blazers do have some weaknesses. Jamal Crawford is a force offensively, but doesn't play defense, if Rondo is aggressive he can create havoc penetrating and getting to the paint to make a ton of plays. Boston's depth also comes into play here where Pietrus and Chris Wilcox will play big roles tonight.

The Blazers have lost 4 of 5 and have been really struggling of late. Gerald Wallace give Pierce trouble (or he did with the Bobcats) but he is a player that will give up early if Pierce gets a few baskets early.

Lamarcus Aldridge/ Brandon Bass match up scares me, but I'll just assume that will be the one area they will have the advantage and the Celtics will be able to overcome the rest.

Celtics 98-89
Tommy Award: Rajon Rondo
