I Hate The Expansion Of The Playoffs too

I hate this idea of this 1 game playoff expansion.

"On the eve of Thursday's soft deadline for finalizing details of the implementation of a 10-team playoff field, Major League Baseball and its players' association are close to announcing the change that would take effect in October, sources said Wednesday.

Under the new format, the Nos. 4 and 5 seeds in each league -- the wild-card teams -- will meet in a playoff, with the three division winners awarded a first-round bye." ESPN

This is dumb, I would be fine with this being a 3 game playoff, but a 1 game playoff is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Because hypothetically the Red Sox are the 4th seed and the Tigers are the 5th. The Red Sox work their ass off for 6 months and it comes down to one game against Justin Verlander? FUCK THAT. As much as I have faith in Jon Lester, I don't have that much faith against him going against Verlander. And Hypothetically if the Red Sox won the game, we could only use Lester once in the following series.

I hate the idea of a one game playoff. Like I said, I would be fine if it was a 3 game series, but throwing it up to chance is absurd.

I see what Selig is doing and I see that he is trying to put more importance on winning the division, but when your in a division like the AL East where a 95 win team is a Wild Card team, I hate it. This could just be my east coast bias with baseball, but this puts the Yankees, Rays and Sox at a huge disadvantage.
