Where Are All The Rondo Haters?

Remember when our own BMack and Coobs were leading the march to trade Rajon Rondo and had nothing but awful things to say about him, like the rest of the national media? I have a question now, Where are they and the rest of the assholes that were bashing him?

It's funny when less knowledgeable fans don't understand the game and let the media dictate their own opinions rather than using their eyes to recognize what they have. Haven't we all moved past Bill Simmons and Chris Broussard? Rajon Rondo IS the best point guard in the league, yes, he is BETTER than Chris Paul, he is BETTER than Deron Williams and he is BETTER than Derrick Rose. I think we can all admit Russell Westbrook is a 2 guard, any PG who constantly takes more shots than Kevin Durant can't be called a PG.

So what were their gripes with Rondo? Consistency, poor shot, attitude.

Consistency; When is the last time he has had a bad game? I really can't remember. During the bad games against Sacremento and Philly he was one of the lone bright spots for the Celtics with having 17 assists and 14 respectfully. He is now on a double digit assist streak that is about to break a 30 year record, he just broke Bob Cousy's assist record for March and in the last 10 games he has been averaging 8 points, 14 assists, 6 rebounds and 2 steals a game while limiting turnovers and for the season he has been averaging 12 points, 11 rebounds, 5 rebounds and about 2 steals pg. What more do you want from a pg than averaging a double double and leading the team to a 15-5 record since the all star break?

Poor shot; I'll admit that he is shitty from the free throw line, when he had that and 1 opportunity last night and then bricked the free throw that was u-g-l-y. He is not good from the line and I really don't know how to explain that, however, you have to be blind to not recognize that his jump shot has improved significantly. In fact, you know he has the highest shooting percentage than any guard from 10- 15 feet out? Yup, it's true. His poor shot also can be looked passed because what he does to the whole offense. He finds the best shot on the floor or sets up the best shot on the floor by penetrating and dishing. He finds the highest percentage shot on the floor, but yet gets no credit for the Celtics having one of the highest FG% as a team with .457 and .360 3 point percentage.

Attitude; If you can tell me one time he has been on the camera and had a shitty selfish attitude I will agree with you, but I haven't heard anything, ever. He doesn't have an exciting demeanor, in fact his demeanor is pretty flat, but there isn't one time where he doesn't give credit to his teammates in one way or another. He never boasts about his gaudy stats or anything, he only mentions his teammates and only cares if his team wins. We praise guys like Kobe, Dwayne Wade, Larry Bird, Bill Belichick and Michael Jordan for having a win first asshole attitude but yet criticize Rondo for doing the same thing. Doesn't make sense.

So there you have it, and it's been awfully quiet from the Rondo critics out there. So why don't you do the same thing I do, sit, watch the game and watch 3 hall of famers and the best pg in the league try to win another title.
