I'll be honest with you, if you had no rooting interest in this game, it probably wasn't the most exciting game for you. It was pretty obvious Kentucky was going to win from the word go and Kansas played a pretty bad game.
But for someone who's a Kentucky fan, it was awesome. To see a bunch of WON and done kids come together, stay motivated and dominate as a team for the whole year and getting Coach Calipari his 1st National Title was awesome.
Anthony Davis didn't have the best game offensively, he shot 1-10 for 6 points, but he had 16 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 6 blocks. He was a monster on the defensive end. But the real unsung hero for the Wildcats was sharpshooter Doron Lamb who 22 points on 7-12 shooting. He was the consistent scoring threat for the Wildcats.
For Kansas, Thomas Robinson lived up to his early lottery billing by having 18 points and 17 rebounds. Tyshawn Taylor had 19 but I really don't like him, he is a turnover waiting to happen. He had 5 last night and his decision making is just awful. The Jayhawks made it a 5 point game under 2 minutes, but Kentucky was able to hold off Kansas and cover the spread (6).
Future Celtic Terrence Jones had 9 points and 7 rebounds.
Awesome job UK!
