This is going to be a great game and a great match up of two great teams coached by two great coaches. Kentucky is obviously the favorite going into the game and why shouldn't they be, they have Player of the Year Anthony Davis and have 3 1st round picks and a another quality player in the starting line up. Those players are Michael Kidd Gilchrist, Terrence Jones, Marquis Teague and Doron Lamb, with Darius Miller being the 6th man. They have absolutely rolled over pretty much every team and have an incredible team. Kansas comes into the game with a player of the year candidate Thomas Robinson and planked by Tyshawn Taylor, Elijuah Johnson, Travis Relaford and Jeff Withey. This game for Kansas really relies on 2 people Thomas Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor. Robinson is great, but will have a tough time dominating the paint with being primarily guarded by Terrence Jones and then filtered into shot block extraordinaire Anthony Davis. Tyshawn Taylor has been all over the place this post season, he has been off shooting wise, if he can get it together and penetrate and finish or dish, that will do wonders for the Kansas offense.
I'm a Kentucky fan, and I really don't see Kansas playing a perfect game and beating Kentucky. If Thomas Robinson can draw some cheap fouls on Davis or Terrence Jones, we might have a closer game. However, I don't see Kansas being able to dominate the inside and with Kentucky's impeccable perimeter defense, that only means bad things for Kansas and Bill Self.
Kentucky wins, everyone goes pro, Coach Cal wins his 1st title.
72-64 Kentucky
Player of the game: Terrence Jones
Player of the Tournament: Anthony Davis
